Today is so nice. Blue skies, a nice breeze, mild temperature, a few clouds here and there. I have every window in my house open. Well, almost every window; big, stupid “decorative” windows that don’t open, ha ha! I’ve already been to the bank, washed the car (who knew it was white? lol), and done laundry. Now, I’m just kicking back with a beer in hand, waiting on my nice fat “homemade” pizza to finish cooking.
After that, I’m going to work on starting a new chapter in life. To start, cleaning out all of the clutter. That’s a good start, right? I think so. The other night, just as I was about to drift off to sleep, I said to myself, “I’m going to stop pretending.” Pretending, you say? Yes. Pretending I’m happy, pretending to enjoy things I hate, pretending to like certain people just to keep the peace, etc. Pretending. I’m not being true to myself. I’m not being my true self…if there is such a thing. Who knows?
Also, I think I may have outgrown Blogsome. I’d like to do things with Girl Monday that I just can’t do here. So, stayed tuned for something on that front, I guess. I may have to institute a name change. Hey, new chapter, right?
I keep hearing/reading stories about how someone visits/moves to the South, orders a Coke, and gets asked “what kind…Coke/Sprite/Dr. Pepper/etc, etc; and are dumbfounded. Now, I know that “Coke” is pretty much the general term for soft drinks around here, but I have never, in my almost 29 years in South, had this happen to me, or witness it.
